Also, we are members of the American Professional Wound Care Association and a member of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care. We are Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Hospice and Palliative Care, and Wound Care.

Dr. Sayyed Tahir Hussain


Dr. Hussain, the chief doctor of Florida Wound Care, Inc., has been in the medical field since 1983. Dr. Hussain has been managing acute and chronic non-healing wounds since his geriatric fellowship in 2001. He currently provides wound care services, including outpatient, hyperbaric and inpatient consults, at the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine at South Baptist Hospital in Plant City.

Dr. Hussain currently holds positions at Florida Wound Care, Inc., Vohra Wound Management, Lifepath Hospice, and The Veterans Affairs Medical Center. His medical history includes, but is not limited to the following practices: University of South Florida, Spectrum Health Urgent Care, Hackley Hospital, Spectrum Health, University of Minnesota Hospital, Hennepin County Medical Center, University of Minnesota, Sheikh Zayed Hospital and the Hayat Shaheed Teaching Hospital.

Dr. Hussain holds scholarly degrees from Khyber Medical College and Government College in Pakistan. He also is a member of the Fellow of American Professional Wound Care Association and the Pakistan Doctors Association. Dr. Hussain is certified in Internal Medicine (AMA), Geriatric Medicine (AAWC), Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and by the state of Florida.
